There
are a couple mistakes that every ‘rookie’ makes his or her
first time to the gym. Number one for the guys – don’t take
to heart what your grade 10 football coach told you. No
amount of bench press and arm curls are going to get you
huge and help you lose weight.
For the
ladies – it takes much more than just doing ’20 minutes’ of
cardio on the treadmill a day. For you to really see
results, you will need to incorporate cardiovascular
training, weight training and flexibility training to
successfully lose fat and gain muscle.
For
those of you that are interested in finally having a better
body but are unsure of where to start,
the old
adage applies - for real lasting results, you must work for
it. While starvation diets and marathon workout sessions may
provide temporary results, they ultimately lead to injury,
and a susceptibility to illness. |
